DOOR CLOSER ISSUES
The most common problem that arises is hydraulic pump leakage. When you see oil coming out of the door closer, the door closer must be replaced. Otherwise, the door closer will start slamming the door (loudly) causing damage to the door and its frame.
Another issue is that you may a door closer that does not match your door. This will also cause the door to be opened and closed violently by the lightest wind.
Also, when a door closer is installed incorrectly it will eventually break the door frame.
